This Privacy Policy describes how PlotMate ("we", "our", or "the App") handles information when you use our mobile application available on Google Play. PlotMate is a niche gardening utility app providing offline-first calculators for:
- Soil Volume Estimator — Calculates soil quantities for raised beds and pots
- Plant Spacing Calculator — Optimises grid and triangular planting layouts
- Fertilizer & Dilution Mixer — Computes precise nutrient ratios and dosages
This policy applies to all users of PlotMate on Android devices. By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
Information We Collect
PlotMate is architected to be entirely offline and data-free. We have deliberately built the app to operate without any network requests, back-end servers, or user accounts.

Third-Party Services & SDKs
PlotMate does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-sharing SDKs. However, the following inherent platform interactions apply:
- Google Play Services: When you download PlotMate from Google Play, Google's standard Play Store policies and privacy practices apply to that transaction. We do not control or receive data from this interaction. Please review Google's Privacy Policy.
- Android OS: Your device operating system may collect diagnostic data per your Android settings. This is outside our control and governed by Google's policies.
- No Advertising Networks: We do not display ads. No advertising SDK (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, etc.) is included.
- No Crash Reporting: We do not use Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, or any similar service. No crash data is transmitted.
App Permissions
PlotMate requests no Android runtime permissions. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, storage, or any other sensitive device resource.
The app functions entirely using standard arithmetic computation that runs locally in the app's sandboxed environment on your device. Below is a complete list of permissions declared:
- INTERNET — Not requested. PlotMate does not make any network calls.
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Not requested. No file system access.
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / COARSE_LOCATION — Not requested. Location is irrelevant to calculations.
- CAMERA / RECORD_AUDIO — Not requested. No media capture features.
Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
PlotMate is rated Everyone (3+) on Google Play. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13, or any other age threshold required by local laws (e.g., 16 under GDPR for certain jurisdictions).
Because the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar international regulations. There is nothing to collect, store, or share — from any user, regardless of age.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information through the App, please contact us at the address below. We will investigate and take appropriate action, though our architecture makes such collection technically impossible.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights under applicable privacy laws such as the GDPR (European Union), CCPA (California), POPIA (South Africa), and others. Because PlotMate collects no personal data, these rights are fully preserved by default:
Right to Access
You can request to know what personal data we hold about you. We hold none.
Right to Rectification
You can request correction of inaccurate personal data. No data exists to correct.
Right to Erasure
You can request deletion of your personal data. Uninstalling the app removes all locally cached data.
Right to Object
You can object to processing of your data. No processing occurs beyond local computation.
Right to Portability
You can request a copy of your data in a portable format. No data is stored server-side.
Right to Opt-Out
You can opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell any data.
